For Nova Scotia Salons – Warning Sign Package from the Government

Dear Nova Scotia Salon Members,
Please find attached the package now being sent to salons across the province. There is some good news
- The photo is not being used on the warning signs
- The wordings on the warning sign “There is no safe way to tan” has been removed
- They have clarified that salon will still be able to promote the product, which would include base tans and vitamin d production.

Dear BC Salon Owners
We need to get the word out about the HST and how this tax is good for BC small businesses and their clients, especially since the HST will be dropped to 10%. The BC Liberals are pro business and my MLA told me “regulations will never be designed to put businesses out of business” and this is part of the reason I believe in keeping the HST.… continue reading

The JCTA would like to inform you that next week the Niagara Regional Council will consider a staff report recommending that the region support a province wide teen ban. While no local bylaw is being proposed and there is no near term threat to your operations the report contains misinformation and should not be utilised as a basis for an advocacy campaign.… continue reading
