Statistics That Say Canadians Get Enough Vitamin D May Be Misleading

 The vast majority of Canadians get enough vitamin D to stave off rickets and ensure their bone health, though that may not be where the vitamin D bar ought to be set, a new study from Statistics Canada reveals. The first ever effort to measure vitamin D in the blood of Canadians found only four per cent were deficient, meaning they were at risk of developing rickets, a bone-bending condition.
