ACS: Melanoma Incidence ‘Stable’

The American Cancer Society’s key document measuring cancer rates in the United States — “Cancer Facts and Figures” — says that melanoma rates have not increased since 2000 and that rates are declining for women under age 50 — directly contradicting what ACS lobbyists have testified to state legislative panels this year.

Sunshine could reduce the risk of heart attack and high blood pressure, according to the latest research.
Vitamin D – the main source of which is sunlight – is already known to have an impact on bone disease, but new research shows it can also reduce heart disease and other illnesses, including kidney failure, depression and diabetes.
