Using a salon tanning bed shouldn’t be an option for anyone under 18, says the local manager of the Canadian Cancer Society.
And Helen Cole has asked Sarnia to introduce a bylaw prohibiting youth from using tanning beds.
The machines can emit ultraviolet radiation at levels five times higher than the midday summer sun, Cole said, noting melanoma is among the most common form of cancer for Canadians aged 15 to 29.… continue reading
