Skin-cancer warnings ignored

The warnings about skin cancer from too much sun don’t seem to be getting through. Half of U.S. adults under 30 say they have had a sunburn at least once in the previous year — about the same as a decade ago, according to a government survey.Quebec will ban tanning to those under the age of 18

The move comes after more than 60,000 signatures were gathered in petitions and at the recommendation of the Canadian Cancer Society and the Quebec Association of Dermatologists. Health Minister Yves Bolduc is expected to table the bill in the National Assembly the coming days.… continue reading
