Vitamin D Dosing: Too Low to Matter?

"These meta-analyses, in my opinion, are flawed. In most of those studies, if you're vitamin D deficient, you're still getting insufficient amounts of vitamin D, as almost all studies used [only] 400 IU of vitamin D. The Institute of Medicine now recommends that everyone should be on 600 IU of vitamin D, and to treat vitamin D deficiency, you probably need 2,000 to 3,000 IU of vitamin D per day."
