New Warning Labels from Health Canada
Tanning equipment has had a similar warning label since 2005 and JCTA supports this and worked with Health Canada on this revision. JCTA members are professional tanning facilities who are trained to educate consumers about minimizing the potential risks of overexposure, but anybody can purchase tanning equipment, so it should have a strong warning label to discourage misuse by home unit users. This is why JCTA member salons follow professional standards and have certified and trained operators controlling equipment.
