The hair salon I go to has a tanning bed. It’s coin operated I think and much cheaper than your salon. Why are your prices so much higher?

There are lots of hair salons that have tanning equipment in the back of their salons and it’s a secondary business for them.

Now do you go to the cheapest beauty salon in the city/town? I would suspect not, you have beautiful hair. You probably go to an experienced stylist with training & certification behind them.

You should do the same when it comes to your skin, especially since 80% of your body is made up of skin? At our salon, we are all certified and trained to take care of your skin, we know how to skin type you correctly and give the proper exposure schedule for that specific equipment you’re going into. We follow JCTA Professional Standards ( show poster).

You also said that you thought it was coin operated, well that mean it’s an uncontrolled device. Would you know what time to put yourself into so not to burn, based on your skin type? Probably not, right?

Would you tell your stylist how much chemical to put in your hair? This about the same as you tanning in a coin operated piece of equipment, but more dangerous to your skin. Why would you want to take a chance in sunburning yourself?

Is it not worth a few extra pennies per session to have a trained operator controlling the equipment for you, educating you on the proper products to use to take care of your skin and making sure you get the best tan possible?
